Dogs are social creatures, and it’s beneficial for them to get out of the house when they can. It allows them to meet new people, get used to new sights and sounds, and generally be better adjusted and healthier.
Not to mention, dogs make for better dinner company than some humans anyway.
Atlanta’s already one of the South’s cuisine hotspots, but now it’s becoming one of the top spots for dogs too.

Midway Pub
Find a spot outside on the patio, and watch the 2014 World Cup alongside Fido. The East Side’s Midway Pub offers ample outdoor seating, in addition to a killer pub-grub menu packed with favorites like fish and chips, reubens and chicken wings.
And your pooch doesn’t have to go hungry. Midway’s dog menu includes a selection of hotdogs and corn dogs, including some from locally sourced charcuteries. Although, we’d bet most dogs aren’t too picky about where their food comes from.
Nancy G’s
If Southern food is more your style, Nancy G’s offers the perfect atmosphere and menu for dining with your dog. The Sandy Springs spot is laid back and relaxed, featuring a contemporary menu filled with all the flavors of home.
Have some chicken fried steak or fried green tomatoes, and your pooch can chow down on grilled chicken, rice and carrots or — if they’ve been really good — a bowl full of bacon.
Park Tavern
Conveniently located right next to Piedmont Park, Park Tavern is a superb for kicking back and relaxing after a few hours playing fetch in the Georgia heat. Enjoy a frosty cold one and a great view of the downtown Atlanta skyline.
Park Tavern offers half-price sushi every night from 10-midnight, which might make for an interesting opportunity if you’re wondering if your dog likes sushi.
Dakota Blue
Dakota Blue’s sidewalk-side dining in Grant Park offers a wonderful chance to do some people watching and let your dog get in on the fun. Their menu is all home-cooked fare, with dishes like Grand Marnier-soaked French toast, crab cakes benedict and something called the “atomic hoedown.”
There’s no dog menu here, but an ample kids menu provides some options (dogs are just like kids anyway).
Noni’s Bar and Deli
Noni’s transforms from a laid-back Italian bistro by day into a nightclub in the evenings, so depending on yours and your dog’s preferences, plan accordingly. Dog owners love the expansive patio, where diners can enjoy live music and a relaxing Midtown ambiance.
The menu offers everything from pasta to sandwiches, seafood dishes and artisan cheeses. Afterward, you can top everything off with a tiramisu or homemade gelato.
