7. Who is your favorite underrated mi character NOT of the main team?

I don't know if this guy was credited, but that one guy in the osprey in TFR who was like: WE GOTTA BUG OUT and THIS IS SOME WORLD WAR 3 SHIT MAN. Him, i love him, no notes excellent delivery.

17. If there was another mi movie, what would you want to happen in it?

Extremely unlikely but I REALLY really want Lane to come back and meet Briggs. I said that last time but I'll say it again!!! I think it would be hilarious

4. What is your all time favorite mi scene?

Not To be predictable, but uh the Ilsa and Lane scene in Rogue Nation that I can quote verbatim.

"I've told you before, trust me or kill me. But if you're gonna kill me, be a man.' GUN THUDS ON THE TABLE "Do it yourself." Chills every time.

Lane is a smoker, something I've put into my fics, but not something i've thought about in great detail.

I've known you long enough by now that you have several 'mutual x' subsets in my mind 😆 The main ones being as the spy film mutual, the Lane (and Lane/Ethan) mutual, and the Trigun mutual.

I contain multitudes as they say (although these all broadly overlap lmao) some day I'll make that spy film thesis and fulfill my ultimate destiny

10. If you could add any actor into the Mission franchise, who would you add and what type of character would you want to see them play?

JESSICA CHASTAIN, full stop. She's already good in this genre of film, and iirc she and Tom were supposed to work together and then She ended up doing Zero Dark Thirty (I know i am blanking on a lot of details but that's the jist) so I would LOVE to see them on screen together. I'm not sure what character type she should be, but i know she typically does the Strong Female Action lead well, like in the 355, underrated film btw.

14. Do you have any mi headcanons?

I have one that I haven't mentioned recently but like, I was going through like a phase and i was really into the idea of Ethan initially wanting to be an Astronaut as a kid growing up on a farm. there's absolutely nothing in canon to support this other than, I think that would be neat.

Hangman x Maverick... but 1986 Maverick

I think the entire appeal to me of Hangmav is the fact that Maverick is older, so them being similar in age in this scenario takes some of the appeal away, but still interesting to think about

Looking forward the 3 page essay but also tell us why you ship benthan now that you are on it, if you are not tired of writing

This one will be ...shorter than my last explanation, mostly because in the circles I run in, i've been into this ship for 5 or so years now. I feel like most of what can be said about Ethan and Benji's dynamic in the movies has been said, until Dead Reckoning Part 1 drops in July. For me, I already have a ship type: Techie x Field Agent (which Luther and Ethan also Fall into ;) ) and i just enjoy how Benji evolves from MI3 - Fallout (ad hopefully DR too) and how Ethan goes from seeing Benji as a coworker to a friend and someone he can put his absolute trust in. Also Rogue Nation, Benji is the love interest. Or, he at least takes the place of one. (Compared to Spectre which came out the same year and features a similar but worse plot.) He is the one who goes into the field with Ethan, he gets used as leverage to force Ethan's hand to give up the disk. Ethan fails his mission to take down The Syndicate because he saves Benji's life, which the direct consequence of turns out to be the Syndicate reforming into The Apostles in Fallout. It's about the love and the sacrifice and the "nice tux by the way" and the "I never had a doubt" and the "I know the risks."
