August 31, 2020. Book: Vanquished! These past four months have been a heckuva ride, but: In Between is officially and finally and disasterfully a Second Draft! I wrote about 36k of brand new scenes and edited the heck out of the first draft, which used up five pens exactly. This left me with a (too-long) 344-page, 105,908-word second draft, and (per my M.O.) I got the antagonist(s) wrong again, so it definitely still needs Very Much Work lol. But I’m proud of how far it’s come, and I feel good about where it’s headed! #Accomplished. Now, if you’ll excuse me: I’m going to read my body weight in books for a couple weeks and reset myself Creatively.

November has come and gone, and with it NaNoWriMo! I decided to vlog my month to help keep me motivated with my writing. After a year of preparation videos it was really rewarding to not only hit the daily word goal of 1,666 words, but to also hit my adjusted target of 10,000 words, making this my most successful NaNo to date, and by quite a lot!

I hope your NaNoWriMo was successful too! Look out in the coming weeks for a video on the next steps to take after you've written your first draft! Last night I validated my 75k, got the winner email and winner certificate. This morning I got the “You didn’t win, and that’s OK!” email. Site says “You won!” when I log in. Whaaaaaa???
