Random question from a relative newbie when it comes to writing smut, would it make sense for there to be a scene where characters are being intimate, one of them remembers a thing and is just like "Oh, I have to show you this cute/cool/funny thing I saw online that made me think of you!" and so they grab their phone and pull up the thing, and then like thirty minutes and ten scrolls/links later they're both/all just like "Wait, weren't we in the middle of something?"
That happens to me all the time irl sex, so yes, I would say it’s plausible to do for a sex scene in a book too. I actually wish more things like that would happen in smutty books, it’d make my life so much more interesting as an editor :p
