Bestfriend!Genma who you went to the second Kakashi and you called it quits. You showed up on his door, tears streaming down your face. He said nothing, he didn't know what to say so he just wrapped you in his arms and backed the two of you inside his apartment.

Bestfriend!Genma who's been wiping every single tear that has fallen from your eyes, repeating in whispers how stupid Kakashi was for letting you go, how you deserve better, how you'll find someone who can treat you better.

Bestfriend!Genma who picks you up and sits you on his counter, making a pot of tea, getting sugar, honey, and cinnamon out on the counter because you always like experimenting.

Bestfriend!Genma who stays up and talks with you all night, even though he just got back from a mission, because you don't want to dream about Kakashi.

Bestfriend!Genma who's been your entire rock during this breakup so when he sees Kakashi leaning over you, Kakashi's hand gliding down your arm he immediately stops his conversation with Ebisu and walks over to the two of you.

Bestfriend!Genma who tells Kakashi that he better walk away, "Don't start anything, just go."

Bestfriend!Genma who watches the tear fall from your face, you deserved a lot better than dealing with this.

Shiranui Genma is literally perfect idk how I've been sleeping on this mans for so long??? Like, smart, easy-going, chill, pretty boy with long hair (the sol tm prerequisite). And like, shinobi right? He's the perfect example of what shinobi should be/are meant to be, keeps a low profile and doesn't advertise his strength, does things covertly (looking @ you inuzuka clan), fiercely loyal (bcs if shinobi aren't loyal to their village, or their employer, then how tf are they going to get a job. you need smth to trust, a guarantee yk-) and just SO SMART AND PRECEPTIVE AND — He's literally perfect i do not take constructive criticism
