40 years ago today, in New York City, a certain film premiered. Until that point, only a comparative few us knew what a F-14 was, or heard of Miramar let alone TOPGUN (not 'Top Gun', the film's title). Here's a proper Miramar sunset taken by me during my first visit in 1990
