Nash Finch Gets it's Start in Devils Lake
It is very rare for a family-run business to last more than 100 years. The Nash Finch Company started with 3 brothers in the boomtown of Devils Lake in the Dakota Territory in 1885. Fred P. Nash started with only $400 in his pocket. 40 years later the company he and his brothers started was worth more than $40 million. The story of the Nash Finch Company is a true rags to riches story that all began right here in Devils Lake.
