Hero.
“How did this happened?” Nathaniel asks looking in the mirror. Looking back was the Evillustrator. Nathaniel was having a good day. Chloe wasn't at school, no akuma attacks, lunch was peaceful, Miss. Miedeliev didn't notice him drawing in class, the sun was shining during his walk home. Nothing bad happened, so why was he akumatized. Worse this is his third time. He hopes this wasn't because of a little girl like last time. Looking himself over in the mirror he sighs. Then something hits him. He had a classmate coming over to work on the class project for Miss. Bustier. Not now not when he's like this. What would they think? Trying not to freak out Nathaniel calms himself down. If he remembers correctly what he draws comes to life. “Need to remember not to draw with the tablet.” He says to no one but himself. What is he going to do once his classmate comes over? She's new and doesn't know him yet. He doesn't know much about her only what others have said. He sighs again. “At least I'm in control this time.” He covers his mouth with his right hand. Acting like he just jinxed himself.
Then the doorbells ring. “She's here.” He says wide-eyed. Looking at himself one last time before he leaves his bedroom. The front door seemed so far away when it's only sixteen feet away. The trip to the door was a long one with Nathaniel repeating, “What am I going to do?” His hand in on the doorknob now. “Maybe I should act like I'm not home,” he says. “That should work.” He sounded like he had hope. “Not if I can hear you, Nathaniel.” Just like that, it was gone. Nothing he can do now, so let's just get it over with. He opens the door. Standing on the other side was the new girl, Zelda Kazarick. She was wearing her usual green and yellow sunflower pattern skirt the goes down to her ankles, there the straps of her black sandals start. On top is a white button up lace shirt with a swan-necked collar. A butterfly-shaped clip is holding her bangs of her right up. Her black hair that reaches her knees is down.
She's just standing there staring at Evillustrator her big brown eyes are wide in surprised. Not sure what is odder his light purple skin, paintbrush-like hair, butterfly shape mask on his face, or the fact that he's been akumatized. They stared at each other for what felt like hours, in reality, it was only a minute. Zelda opens her mouth, thinking she was going to scream Nathaniel speaks. “Don't be scared, just please come in. I'll explain the best I can.” He says the last four words very silently to himself. Moving out of the way so, she can enter. Zelda closes her mouth and slowly takes a few steps forward. Once in the doorway, she stops for some reason. She takes a few step to the side away from Evillustrator, he closes the door. “Please sit down,” he says while showing her the couch. The nervous girl sits down in the middle of the couch. Evillustrator sits down next to her.
With his right hand, he rubs the back of his head. “I'll say this right away. You don't need to be afraid of me like this. I won't hurt you or anyone.” Zelda nodes her head. “With that said. I think I have been akumatized. I'm not sure. The reason I say unsure is that I'm in control and Hawkmoth isn't saying anything.” He looks at her for the first time since she entered the apartment. “H h have you been akumatized before?” Zelda speaks for the first time since she saw Evillustrator. “No. I'm going off of what I heard others say.” He lies hoping she bought it. After a minute that felt like an hour went by. “Do do you want to work on the project still?” Zelda ask. Evillustrator was about to say something when there was a loud thud sound coming from the window. Making them both jump. Evillustrator rushes to the window and looks out. He sees Cat Noir flying pass while Stormy Weather is laughing. “This can't be good,” Evillustrator says. When he noticed that Zelda was making her way over he closes the blinds.
“Nothing to worry about.” He says standing in front of the window. Then he gets an idea. “Hey let me show you what I can do.” With his pen and tablet that's attached to his right arm, he makes a drawing. In front of him between Zelda and himself appears a black and white cat. It yawned and stretched. It walks up to Zelda, rubbing against her left leg. Zelda kneels down. “You can pet it,” Evillustrator speaks with a smile. Zelda brings her hand to pet the cat. Her hand hovers over the cat for a bit before she scratches behind its ears. The cat meows with a purr, causing Zelda to smile a bit. Daring to move closer, Evillustrator steps towards her. The petting stop once Zelda sees Evillustrator moving closer to her, making him stop dead in place. “It's okay,” he says hoping she's still not freaked out. “Should I still c c call you Nathaniel?” She asked sitting back down on the couch. The cat jumps on her lap. “Like this my name is Evill..... Illustrator.” He never did like the name Evillustrator, he's not a villain. He sits down next to her on the couch again. Zelda is petting the cat. Both are unsure what to say. Again a minute that felt like an hour pass.
((I found this Nathaniel week 2017 on Tumblr and I thought I should do something. Here’s day one. Hero/Villian. This is a part of a fanfic I’m writing that I never posted. This fanfic takes place in one setting. I can tell you more about it if you want. It’s mostly about Nathaniel trying to make a new friend. To me, I think he’s alone because he has a hard time making friends. It was either Lila which the show might do something with or make an OC. I made an OC cause I thought it would be easier to do. I know his villain form is Evillustrator. If you remember he was first a superhero Nathaniel though up.))
