16 Day Character Redesign Challenge — Day 6, Gothic Theme
Natsumi here is an old OC of mine from the Naruto-verse. She was one of fraternal twins rescued (captured) from the Village of Rain. In an attempt to get a leg up on other villages, Rain took these twins born on an auspicious date and rather than trying to bind demons within them, they used a ritual to imbue them with parts of a demon in hopes they wouldn't be so out of control. They took a demon beasts eyes and the children were named "Right Eye" and "Left Eye". They were trained in seeing through these eyes to identify chakras, broadcast illusions to the point of bad acid trips, mesmerize subjects, and force people to sleep.
As I said, the twins were captured by Leaf Village for "their own good" and fostered under Ibiki to be used in interrogation and a hands off sort of torture. They were assigned new names and given their own home (while watched closely) after they passed a certain milestone.
The prompt for this was Gothic Theme. So, I tried to design Natsumi in a way that she could still fight and use her training. The red shades are reminiscent of the red band tattooed across her eyes as pictured in the image at the bottom.
