6. Share one of your weaknesses

Oof, there are a couple of ways to interpret this but I’m going to assume it’s asking for a writing weakness, which funnily enough I actually discussed with a friend earlier which is interconnecting description with dialogue. I’m quite happy with my dialogue and I am capable of writing decent description but when it comes to writing them together without it seeming awkward? It’s freaking hard.

(We are not going to discuss my main weakness for fic wherein i keep planning sequels and new fics over all, they don’t count.)

20. Describe your perfect writing conditions

My candle lit at the desk, a can/glass of coke or alternatively a coffee (I work best on caffeine), a relatively clear space with my pens on hand and my collection of squares, my books where I keep track of my fic writing on hand but not in the way, my room cool but not too cold because otherwise I get cold... god this sounds so dramatic and needy lmao. One of these days I’ll post a picture of my desk and you’ll all understand just how needy I am.

38. Talk about a review that made your day

:eyes: Okay, that’s cheating. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (should I use your words and say “I’m not trying to kiss your ass”? :P) your reviews make my day. Every single one of them. I love reading essays in my inbox about how my work made someone feel, what ideas it made them think of, everything like that and you put it into almost every single review. (Esp your decrepit review. I haven’t sent you my response rant about that one yet bc discord issues but when I fix it, you can bet that’ll be coming your way!) But since this is dangerously close to said ass kissing I’m also going to name a couple of other repeat reviewers, namely GhostIsReading over on AO3, Joys, a guest reviewer on FFN, AmyNChan over on Ao3 for Nef and Xerampelinae also on Nef... I could go on for hours. Literally anyone who left a comment on their FicMas gift was adorable and amazing and those comments in particular meant the world to me since it meant I got something right when I wrote things with them in mind.

True to my own inability to remember things, here I am replying to this a month later~ ^_^;;

1. Do you prefer writing with black or blue pen?

Blue. There’s significant research into how much better you remember things written in blue pen and it seems to have been the case. That said, I also tend to colour code based on the book I’m writing in though ^_^;;

8. Do you prefer reading paper or electronic books?

Paper. Omg, definitely paper. I have an ereader and I’ve barely touched it. i understand it’s use for travel and what not but dear god, I hate it. I need to feel what I’m reading and be able to put a physical marker in it. Also, it’s bad for my eyes to read on screens anymore then I already do, severely short sighted as I am. (That said, I value ff above all else and I have little choice but to read that electronically ... )

33. What is your favourite scent?

Hmmm, probably mixed berries. It’s the scent I lean towards most often. I also love ginger and lemon/lemongrass and I do love lemon as a scent too.

Nightmare: what’s your favourite Halloween movie?

This is going to be so Anti-Climatic, but since Australia doesn’t really celebrate Halloween, and I’m not a huge fan of movies over all, I don’t actually have one ^_^;;

Bats: do you sleep with stuffed toys?

Yes, I have a very small stuffed puppy that I’ve had since my sister won it for me at the show (which is like, the yearly carnivals that Australia holds) when I was like 6 years old, and I adore her. She lives on my bed along with a couple other stuffed toys (a mini-ironman I got last christmas, a tiny dragon, elephant that I also got from the show, and a stuffed hello kitty I got as a birthday gift from my best friend when I was like 8 or 9).

What Shakespeare are you studying specifically?!?!

King Lear, but the fact that it’s King Lear isn’t important, it’s a class on writing Literary Criticism, so the source material isn’t the real issue.

It’s just me. Not being able to understand the concept of ‘I’m going to take a passage of this and analyze it and find an argument for it’ (????!!!! How??!!!)

writer asks 📃 || dedication: if you were to publish a book or multiple, who would you dedicate the book(s) to?

ASDFGHJKL Thank you for asking!! This is actually something I’ve thought of a lot, since I do plan to one day start and finish a piece of my own writing, although it wasn’t until recently that the urge to work on something original came back to me.

I would most likely dedicate my writing to a lot of people, the followers and supporters I’ve found online who keep my going in the fanfiction world, and as such, keeping me writing and improving.

My family - my mother and my best friend (and her family, bless their souls) in particular. They’ve always encouraged my writing and never once have either of them implied that I won’t make it in the writing industry when I decide to try my hand. It’s always “when” and never “if” and I appreciate that positivity so much, since I personally have never been able to have that much faith in myself.

The writer’s club that I was in from either grade through to the end of eleventh (before I gave it up for my final year, too busy), where I originally discovered my true love for writing that ran outside of classwork, and proceeded to hone my skills over the years.

Those are the main ones, although there are probably so many more that I haven’t mentioned.

I just burst out laughing on a very packed train reading this. I adore this comic! Your art is so cute! And I like that they're estranged friends rather than a break up, it's a nice change. Can't wait for the next one!
