It was another quiet afternoon for the young Ishvalan. Zhen was busy with making some automail for a new client. It was tempting to stick around and see if she could assist Zhen, but he had reassured her that he had it well under control. So, no hands on work for her yet. Yasmin had spent most of the morning wrapped up in another medical textbook, so Layla took it upon herself to go pick up the groceries for them. It didn’t make the day exciting, but at least it was an excuse to go out around the city.
She figured it’d be a straight shot home from the store until she saw a crowd had gathered around. Murmurs and whispers mixed with applause. Now Layla had to see for herself what was up.
Carefully making her way through the crowd, she had found a dancer had got the attention of the other passersby. Not that she could blame them for stopping and watching. The woman seemed quite skilled, and Layla had to admit, it looked fun. She looked down at her own legs, wondering if she would ever be able to be as graceful and nimble as the woman before the crowd. Either way, it was certainly fun to watch.
