Brett was supposed to go on a batshit insane quest for revenge but instead is going on a coldly calculated quest for revenge. like its giving robot that gained sentience and hates its creators.

For storyday, tell me about the most normal story you've ever written and the most outlandish. According to you, I mean.
ok my scale of "normal" to "outlandish" is "I would find this on the front table at barnes and noble" to "I would find this either in a niche sci-fi magazine or a hard drive at an estate sale." that said:
most normal - nDOT! it's based directly on well-worn and popular tropes of YA dystopia in the 2010s, bc that was my fave genre at the time and I wanted to write my own :3
most outlandish - you would think its the RCU, but I don't think so, because i drew directly from popular media for a lot of it - it's just the combination of things that makes it weird, not the story elements on their own. (vampires? normal. vampires created by the fae? weird.)
Divine Rights is the real most outlandish WIP i have. it's a story in a baroque/cyberpunk world where God was a decaying artificial intelligence that everyone worshipped and followed in blind faith, not knowing its "commands" are the tatters of a ruined AI spitting out nonsense. (this predates chatGPT by 4 years btw. im a visionary)
