so, obviously, i love uconn as a team, how they play, and i root for then
BUT, notre dame is my home team, my childhood, and my comfort team for YEARS
hidalgo being outwardly homophobic is disgusting to me, but i’m not going to dislike a team because of a single player
which IS justifiable, because how many of us are uconn fans despite q?
i attended the game, and i don’t feel like the reffing was bad. was the game physical? yes. but it was physical on both sides. maybe once or twice did fans get upset about a call
yes, the rebound move was dangerous. i do not think it was purposely done by king to hurt someone. it should have been called, it wasn’t. other players would probably get a whistle, this game was allowed to be very physical on BOTH ends.
liatu king is a silent but deadly player, she’s not very showy, but she’s crazy important
i don’t think notre dame would have won if they hadn’t shot well from outside. uconn is better and bigger in the post than them
kaitlyn chen was a good pick for uconn
is azzi a very talented player? absolutely. do i love her? YES. do i think she would have been a determining factor in today’s game? im not sure. she would have changed up the game and notre dames defense for sure
im always willing to talk ball with people, but i will not argue with “fans” who only follow uconn because they think one player is attractive and will blame anything and everything else for a loss
