Sweet & Comfortable Dreams with Needham Lane

I'm finally sharing with you the beautiful matching pajama set and robe I received from Needham Lane. If you read yesterday's post, you already know that I was very proud to announce yesterday that I had become a Brand Ambassador for their incredible line. I hope that you also had the chance to see the adorable preppy options they offer. Although the hardest part for me was choosing the fabric, I ended up falling in love with a very elegant navy blue set with white piping, since I knew it would match my room best.

As you can see in the pictures below, I tried to show you a few of the marvellous construction details, such as the scalloped cuffs or side vents on the pants and pajama top, as well as the inside ties that ensure the robe's perfect fit. The piping is delicious in itself, and I am considering embroidering a monogram to the robe, what do you think?

Finalmente estoy compartiendo el precioso juego de pijama y bata que recibí de Needham Lane. Si leyeron mi entrada de ayer, ya saben que me sentí muy orgullosa de anunciar que me había convertido en una Embajadora de la Marca para promocionar su increíble línea de productos. Asi pues, espero que ya hayan tenido oportunidad de ver las opciones tan adorables y preppy que ofrecen. Aunque la parte mas difícil para mi fue escoger la tela de mi pijama, terminé enamorándome de un elegante juego en azul marino ribeteado en blanco, ya que supe de inmediato que combinaría a la perfección con mi habitación!

Como pueden ver en las fotos de aqui abajo, quería mostrarles algunos de los maravillosos detalles de confección, como por ejemplo, los puños redondeados o las aberturas laterales en los pantalones y en la camisa del pijama, asi como la cinta interna que se encarga de que la bata se vea perfecta en todo momento. El ribete blanco le da al conjunto un toque delicioso, y estoy considerando bordarle mi monograma a la bata. Qué opinan?

Introducing...Needham Lane!

I have been very excited to share with you this collaboration, but unfortunately, I had not been able to do so because of my unexpected trip to Spain. Finally, the time has come, and I am very proud to announce that I have become a Brand Ambassador for Needham Lane!

If you are not familiar with their products, let me introduce you to their wonderful and colorful world! Needham Lane is the beautifully preppy and colorful dream of Maura and Dan Fickett, who started the company back in 2004, when they realized that there was a need for chic and elegant nightwear in comfortable cotton fabrics at an affordable price. Fortunately for us, they did not stop just at pajamas, and now they offer beautiful dresses, tunics, skirts, wool shawls, and amazing totes and slippers in coordinating fabrics. Once you see their creations in person, you understand why they have made Oprah's coveted "O List".

While speaking to Maura, the designer of the line, she explained how they came up with the evocative name, "When it came time to choose a name for our company my husband and I knew we wanted a name that was both classic and timeless. After much brainstorming, we decided to go back to our very early beginnings: Dan was born in Needham, Massachussetts, and I grew up in the town of Lanesborough, Massachussetts, thus from that combination was born Needham Lane!"

Maura had over 24 years of experience as a graphic and textile designer, so the leap she took to make Needham Lane a reality was nothing more than a natural progression. As you can see, their fabrics are vibrant, soft, and very colorful, and simply choosing among the many adorable options becomes the hardest part of the buying process!

Although Needham Lane is based in the Berkshires of Western Massachussetts, the beauty of their rural surroundings is not the only inspiration. The hunt for just the "right kind" of fabric for her designs, for example, recently took Maura to India, as you can see below, where her love of prints and colors was matched by the country's exuberance.

He estado como loca por poder compartir esta colaboración con todos ustedes pero, desafortunadamente, no había podido hacerlo todavía debido al viaje de último minuto que tuve que hacer a España. Finalmente, llegó el momento, y me siento muy orgullosa de anunciar que me he convertido en una Embajadora de la Marca Needham Lane! Si no están familiarizados con sus productos, dejen que les adentre en su maravilloso mundo de color!

Needham Lane es el precioso, colorido y preppy sueño de Maura y Dan Fickett, quienes comenzaron la compañía en el 2004, al darse cuenta que había un gran hueco en el mercado de ropa de noche que estuviera confeccionada en cómodo algodón, y que al mismo tiempo fuera chic, elegante y se consiguiera a muy buen precio. Afortunadamente para nosotros, aparte de pijamas, Needham Lane también ofrece preciosos vestidos, túnicas, faldas, echarpes de lana, y maravillosos bolsos y zapatillas en telas que combinan a la perfección. Una vez que ves sus creaciones en persona, entiendes por qué sus productos fueron escogidos por Oprah para su famosa “Lista O”.

Al hablar con Maura, la diseñadora de la línea, esta me explicó como dieron con el evocador nombre de la compañía, “Cuando llegó el momento de escoger un nombre para nuestra compañía, mi esposo y yo supimos que queríamos un nombre que fuera tanto clásico como atemporal. Después de mucho pensar, decidimos que queríamos volver a nuestros comienzos: Dan había nacido en Needham, Massachussetts, y yo crecí en el pueblo de Lanesborough, también en Massachussetts. De esa combinación nació Needham Lane!”

Maura tenía mas de 24 años de experiencia como diseñadora gráfica y textil, asi que el salto que tomó para crear Needham Lane no fue mas que una progresión natural de sus intereses. Como pueden ver, sus telas tienen colores vibrantes y son sumamente suaves, asi que simplemente escoger entre los muchos adorables estampados disponibles se convierte en la parte mas difícil del proceso de compra!

Aunque Needham Lane tiene su base de operaciones en los Berkshires del oeste de Massachussetts, la belleza de su entorno rural no es la única inspiración. Por ejemplo, la búsqueda de la tela “perfecta” recientemente llevó a Maura hasta la India, como pueden ver aqui arriba, en donde su amor por los estampados y los colores vistosos se vio recompensado por la exhuberancia del pais.
