and rad end fresh/cross maybe. if u want 2. i want 2 know how'd someone else would write them to be honest !
How many times?
Cross’ fists clenched by his sides, his teeth grinding.
How many times had he done this??
Hundreds? Thousands? Millions??
Cross had no idea, but the most important question is would he ever stop?
“When will you stop toying with my life?” His voice was low.
“Come again, Cross-bro?” He tried to act like he didn’t understand him.
Cross huffed, a frustrated blow of air passing through his teeth, and his balled hands shook with the anger pulsing in his soul.
“You heard what I said, Fresh,” Cross’ voice dripped with venom when he spoke his name, and he continued speaking before Fresh had the chance to say anything else. “Will you ever stop toying with me? Toying with my life like this? Like I’m just some— object for your amusement??”
“Cross-bro, I dunn—”
“Do you take me for an idiot, Fresh?”
…
“You think I haven’t been remembering? Remembering every time you’ve changed this timeline— rewritten it— because I didn’t do something you liked?”
Fresh had gone completely silent.
“I. Am not. A toy.”
There it was.
That purple glow that Cross had grown to dread and despise.
“Don’t you do it.”
Cross’ voice had gone dark.
“You know I’ll just remember this again.”
Fresh’s hand raised, but this time, he hesitated.
“I’m sorry—”
Cross sneered at that, and stepped forward, shoving Fresh back, stalling him just a little more from pressing that infamous button. “You are such a coward!” He roared, struggling to keep calm enough to actually get his words out clearly, “all you do is rewrite every time you don’t get your way instead of facing reality and being responsible for your actions! I hope you know that each time you do this, you are doing nothing but digging a deeper hole for yourself! When will you stop?!”
Fresh’s breath hitched at Cross’ words, and it was his turn to clench his teeth, gazing at the rewrite button in his peripheral… and for a moment, Cross thought he had finally, finally gotten to him.
Then, Fresh looked him in the eye, his expression… almost pitiful.
“…You… you don’t know the real reason I do this…”

The clock on the wall ticked with an almost agonizingly slow pace. Titan felt that time had almost never gone by so slow, her finger taping against the table in time with the ticking, as she gazed up at it, eyes half-lidded, her coffee still steaming.
Then, the ringing of the bell above the front entrance caught her attention, and she lazily turned her head to glance back, and felt her heart flutter in her chest.
“Hey, Ti!” Callisto greeted once she spotted Titan, and rushed over to the booth she was sitting at, and plopped down in the seat across from her, catching her breath. “Sorry I’m late, sugar! Had to wait for a train— I hope we can still do what you were wanting?”
Having completely forgotten all of her worries thanks to the arrival of her friend, Titan nonchalantly waved her hand in dismissal. “You’re alright, Cal. Our drinks are still hot.”
Callisto visibly sighed with relief, and sunk further into her seat. “Phew, alright.” She then sat back upright, playing Titan’s words over in her head one more time, before realization washed over her face, eyes widening.
“Oh! Drinks! Café! I almost forgot—” she moved to stand up again—
“Cal. I already got your drink,” Titan interrupted with a gentle reminder, nudging Callisto’s hot chocolate closer to her, and Callisto’s eyes sparkled, before she sat herself back down.
“Oh, thank you, honey!” She reached for the cup, “what do I owe you?”
A small smile curled at the corner of Titans lips, and a faint chuckle left her, “you don’t owe me anything. You know that.”
Callisto returned a smile much brighter, and tilted her head, “you sure, doll? You know you don’t need to spend all your money on me…!”
“I’m sure,” Titan confirmed. “Everything’s on me today. It’s fine. I promise.”
“Alright, honey, if you say so…” she took a sip of her hot chocolate, looking off into space and pretending she definitely wasn’t thinking about paying her friend back in one way or another.
Titan gave a faint chuckle as she watched her, propping up her head with her chin in her palms, a soft smile playing on her lips, eyes still relaxed.
The two of them had been friends since their early childhood. Always hanging out with each other, always doing things for each other, and helping each other through tough times.
Titan always found it impossible to imagine her life without Callisto, and she hoped it was just the same for Cal.
…Titan fidgeted with the paper wrapping on her cup, during a pause in her and Callisto’s conversation, as she absentmindedly sipped on her coffee, brows furrowed ever so slightly, staring down at the table.
Callisto took notice, as she often did, and spoke up.
“Did that table do somethin’ to ya, dear?” She half-joked, tilting her head with another one of her usual smiles, “or are you just havin’ a staring contest?” She gave a brief giggle, and Titan snapped out of her thought, looking up at Callisto with an almost lost expression, before she realized what she was taking about.
“Oh- um— no, I was just…” Titan’s voice grew a little small as she spoke, hesitant with her words. “Thinking…”
“I see,” Callisto dipper her head in understanding, taking one more small sip of her hot drink. “Is it somethin’ ya wanna tell me about, sugar?”
Titan’s normally pale face reddened a bit at that, and she scrunched down in her seat, avoiding Callisto’s gaze.
“Um. Yeah…”
Titan, having put her cup down, fidget with her hands beneath the table.
“What is it?”
There was a pause for a moment, with nothing but the sound of the gentle music playing through the café, before Titan finally got the courage to speak up.
“Well… Cal… we’ve been friends since…” she started, having Callisto’s full attention, “forever, and… I really, really appreciate that,” Titan, though still not looking directly at the girl across from her, could see how she tilted her head again, as she usually did, and nodded her head. “There’s just. Something about you,” Titan continued, “you’re always so kind, and patient, and… and we’ve been through so much together, you know?”
Callisto nodded her head again.
“You’ve always, always been there for me, no matter what… it’s… really hard for me to picture my life without you at all, and I was just… wondering if… you felt the same way?” Titan finally looked up to see Callisto’s expression, and flushed harder at the sight of how soft it was.
“Oh, sugar…” she gave a tooth-achingly sweet, soft smile, and reached her warm, round hand to take hold of Titan’s more cold, slender one, “of course I feel the same way about that, dear…!”
Titan felt her heartbeat quicken again, and delighted smile played on her expression as she eyed Callisto’s hand on hers, but the weight on her chest wasn’t lifted away just yet.
“Then… if that’s the case,” she glanced away and hid the smile she was failing to fight behind her free hand, giving Callisto’s own hand a soft squeeze. “I was wondering… if you would like to spend more of our lives together…?”
There was a pause, and Titan’s heart raced as she held her breath. The silence was heavy, and she didn’t have the strength to glance at Callisto’s face again to gauge her reaction.
“Ti…” Callisto started, “do you mean like…” she seemed to be weighing her own words, “dating…?”
Titan’s face flushed bright red, still facing the window.
“If— if that’s what you want—”
Titan panicked when she felt Callisto let go of her hand, and she whipped her head around to find Callisto standing from her seat, her blood running cold.
“Wait! Cal— I-I didn’t—!”
She was halted in the middle of standing from her own seat by being pulled into a tight embrace, arms holding her close and refusing to let go as Callisto squeezed her.
“Of course!” Callisto let go of the hug, and reached up to hold Titan’s face in her hands, pulling her face closer to her own as she smiled into her eyes. “I’d love to be your girlfriend, sugar!”
Titan felt her eyes start to water, and she grew a shaky smile, before she reached down to pull Callisto into a snug embrace of her own (though half the reason was to hide her face, of which was now becoming… arguably very gross to look at), and hugged her now girlfriend close.
“I didn’t mean to worry you…!” Callisto returned the hug, attempting, but unable, to look at Titan’s face again.
Titan sniffled, and tried to speak without making it obvious she was crying, her smile still present, “don’t— don’t worry about it, Cal,” she sniffled again, lifting a hand to wipe the tears she had falling down her face. “It’s alright. Everything’s— everything’s great. I promise.”
