[Inside Notre Dame de Paris] Known to be among the largest and most well-known church structures in the world, this cathedral is indeed majestic. One of my favorite spots is this altar near a huge stained glass window. This cathedral was the venue of the coronation of Napoleon I, the beatification and canonization of Joan of Arc, and the inspiration for Victor Hugo's Hunchback of Notre-Dame, among others. #paris #notredame #neeurotrip2014

[Posing at La Pyramide Inversée] Located at the Carrousel du Louvre shopping mall, the Inverted Pyramid brightens the underground entrance to the Louvre Museum with sunlight during daytime and spotlights at night. The pyramidal stone structure under the glass inverted one calls for different interpretations (like in Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code). But I thought, it was put there so people won't hit the tip of the glass pyramid when they sit under it for pictures. 😜 #louvre #invertedpyramid #b&w #paris #neeurotrip2014

[Appreciating Mona Lisa] At The Louvre, we visited the most viewed work of art in the museum, Leonardo Da Vinci's La Joconde (La Gioconda, Mona Lisa). Interestingly, meeting her is an entire experience separate of the museum itself. People crowd around her to take 'selfies' and the best photos possible. So it's a war of elbowing and slowly moving inch by inch to get nearer. Until alas, that mysterious smile framed in a small piece of painting either disappoints you or touches you, depending on how long you manage to stay close. For me, it was both a feeling of accomplishment to finally meet her and a reminder about legacy. No matter how small, as long as it reaches many people, it will surely be remembered. #louvre #paris #monalisa #neeurotrip2014 #art
