NEGRONI WEEK 2022

...funny thing, I don’t like Campari that much, and yet this year, I really got into Negroni Week.  Negroni variations > Classic Negronis.  And yet my favorite was at Angeline’s, made with Botanist Gin, coffee and cocoa infused sweet vermouth (I prefer dry vermouth, but damn this was goooood), and Aztec chocolate bitters.  

I made my own “Invisible Negroni”, with Barr Hill Gin, Luxardo Bitter Bianco instead of Campari, and Lillet Blanc, with cremant (those are edible flowers frozen in ice molds to make it purdy).  Enjoyed the Mezcal Negroni at Thigs:  they called it The Dissident, and it featured Montelobos and Mr. Black.  The Mr. Black was a pleasant surprise.  I also had the Reposado Negroni at Kindred, which also had Ancho Reyes chili liquer.  Had them make me a few Negroni variations with the Ancho Reyes added!
