i'm installing fallout because you kinda got me interested in it :) it's fo4 for starters, but i would probably check out other games. eventually. i've only played fo1 and the prologue of fo3 before and didn't quite get into it, but maybe this time it would go more smoothly. ~neilbert

that said, every game after fo2 is pretty different gameplay wise from fo1 (at least from what i’ve seen, ive only played fo3, fnv & fo4)

I hope you get into it! fo4 has a lot of game mechanic changes (the skill system is completely different, the karma system is removed, the crafting & settlement building feautures are new. also you get power armor basically thrown after you). And even though i’d say fo4 probably has the weakest writing of the three, the companions are really loveable and I personally enjoyed building settlements & just trotting about kicking gunners in the teeth >:)

Honestly, I had trouble getting into fo3 back in the day myself, mostly because i was pretty new to ‘adult’ games (aka not sims or pokemon) at the time and got my ass kicked by those. talon bastards. but once i became comfortable with the controls n stuff i fell in love with the series and..well, here i am now :’D
