Toriel isn’t herself, and neither is the strange human man in the vest. She’s not aware of either of those things though - she’s only aware of the rotting zombie shambling up towards him.

She charges at it on all fours and knocks its head clean off in a single smack, then raises herself up and bellows.

Only then does she turn to the human, and speak.

“Foolish.”

Oh, great, another dork! is what Super Peridot thinks about the strange black-haired man in the vest.

She flies down in front of him on her broom, as purple and cosmic as the rest of her outfit, and smiles smugly even by her standards, holding out a hand and causing a star to form in her palm.

“Hey, nerd. Want to see a magic trick?”
