Okay well, I am so sorry. I’ve just been trying to hunt it down, and it’s not on my livejournal which means I must have posted it on my old livejournal which is so long abandoned it’s been purged. It’s not in my writing folder, or in my junk writing folder, which means I didn’t back it up. I think it’s gone for good.
I can remember the gist, if it helps. Basically it’s set when the megalodon are starting to go extinct cause the climate’s changing, and this megalodon finds a dead whale to scavenge off, but in the depths below a giant squid was using the carcass as bait and it ambushes the megalodon and there is an epic battle in which the squid finally wins through icy, alien intelligence.
(Even though I acknowledged later in reality the shark probably would win that match up. So it was more giant squid fanfic than megalodon fanfic in the end.)
