Vampires are real!! I met one.
Vampire Basics: They drink blood, are repelled by silver, turn into bats, and have claws. The one who turns the person is called a sire, while the newly turned is called a fledgling!
Vampires (I’m gonna start writing vamps, my hand is cramping) regard garlic as foul. As far as I can tell they’re not actually allergic to it, they just really don’t like the smell and taste. Eating a garlic clove to ward off vamps is pretty inconclusive, since it takes a while for it to get into the bloodstream and I think a particularly stubborn one could drink your blood anyway, it would just be nasty and an unpleasant experience for everyone involved.
Vamps are more durable than humans, and I think they’re generally stronger than humans? They’re definitely faster.
Apparently some vampires have the urge to count small round things. I don’t know, I don’t think they were listening when I asked them about it.
There is NO EVIDENCE that vampires are repulsed by holy symbols!! I asked someone about it and she said that you naturally start flinching away from them if they're held by people trying to kill you, which makes sense! Correlation doesn't equal causation!
Blood has different tastes depending on the subject! Animal blood is more metallic-y and has less flavor and nutritional value than human blood. Human blood varies depending on the age and diet of the person!
Forcing a turning is annoying…? yeah, annoying for the sire, I think. It damages the fangs. When I asked about the fledgling experience, he seemed to become hard of hearing all of a sudden. Do vamps get hearing loss?
