very happy i came across your blog! you have very nice vibes and i was struggling to find an advice blog that i felt comfortable interacting with . .
i was wondering if you could do (trans)neoculture tips? like both figuring things out and transitioning if possible-? sorry if it's an odd ask, i actually haven't really seen the label mentioned at all outside of the transid wiki . .
I haven't heard of this before and I wasn't able to find a lot of information so I hope these tips are helpful! if I've misunderstood something please let me know and I'll update this:)
- make a document to keep track of everything about your culture as you figure it out so you can reference and build upon it later! you could also do pinterest boards, music or video playlists, a website like carrd or neocities, or web weavings to help visualize it in different ways!
- culture spans many things, such as language, food, architecture, religion/other beliefs, politics, everyday behaviors, clothing, art, and social organization! it's ok to not have it all figured out, especially all at once. culture is also always evolving and varies from person to person, so it's ok if it's vague or not exact, too!
- the culture you grew up in probably impacted how you think of the world and culture as concepts, learning about many different cultures (existing or fictional!) can give you ideas and help you see things in ways you haven't considered before. you can also use your differences from the society you grew up in as ideas as well, like if you wanted to be around a lot of new people but it was expected that you would have a close-knit family as your social group, you could flip that expectation in your neoculture!
- have any interested friends help build and join your culture! you could also "advertise" it in internet communities to get other people involved! transID communities could be a good place to start, I know it's not really the same thing but you could draw some inspiration or community from fults!
if anyone in the community has anything to add please do!
