CANARY WHARF WINTER LIGHTS

Went to the winter lights, exhibition outdoors with around 26 light installations dotted over Canary Wharf. I’ve been for the last couple years and is good fun. These there the pieces that stood out to me, see the next post for video of one piece in particular.

The Neon tree was my favourite, I found that many of them felt quite tacky and corporate, but the tree seemed to revel against the natural structure of the tree. Perhaps lights on trees are more widely accepted, reminds of happier times (christmas lights e.g.) but either way I liked it. Would love to do something with neon at some point.
