The first startup sequence was always the hardest to endure; prototype androids seemed to take especially long to start. But this... this one was special. Elijah hadn’t had the pleasure to build an android on his own since he built his first RT600. These days it was much easier to do with the machines, but he still took the time to make sure every part was just as he imagined it. And the even better part? The prototype line could be whatever he wanted it to be.
Originally, he had high hopes for this model. The RK200 was going to be nothing like anything else they had created. It would be agile, smarter, and more compassionate. This model was perfect for certain leadership roles. A fierce personality and endless will, not to mention the stronger structure of the body. The RK200 was finally perfect.
Unfortunately... Elijah would never truly see what it was created to do. The moment he heard about his dear friends accident, he knew he needed to do something. Something to repay him for all he had done, for all he had inspired. Carl had been a good friend to him, everything he had done and his art was an inspiration. Even though Carl had never liked the androids, he was very open about them being mindless machines, Elijah knew the best support he would need to help after his accident could only be an android. Something that didn’t need anything to do its job and would prove to be a good companion.
He switched the light on in the room with the android as the startup sequence and updates were completed. Synthetic skin activated, LED flashing idly as it booted up, and wires all disconnected for the first run.
Elijah grinned as he took a step back, “ Alright, lets see how this works. RK200? Can you hear me? ”
