Bisexual Reylo here. Got sent hate anons and sucide baits back in 2017, and a few months ago during the John Boyega ordeal, which I had to look up after receiving these messages, to figure out what happened to spark the hatred again. I know it's not kinda his fault, but his minions came after us after he stirred up a shitstorm on twitter, and I as I was personally victimized, I just don't like him like I used to anymore. But I still stand with him,support him,his blm speach was very heartlfet.
I'm so sorry that happened to you. Yeah, I can't say my opinion of jb was unaffected by that whole thing, but I'm absolutely going to continue supporting his career, his speech about BLM was genuinely moving.
I don't generally assume ill intentions, so imo perhaps jb just didn't know his fans would react that way? We'll never know. I think the tendency to dogpile on twitter contributed negatively on both sides, but there's still a difference between a ton of people telling someone an instagram comment was sexist (with varying levels of respect), and a ton of people telling someone to kill themselves, sending death threats, abuse, etc.
anyway, at this point the broader narrative is skewed against us, so it is what it is. Again, I'm sorry that all went down.
