Xilonen and Nepecha
Spoilers ahead but did anyone do Nepecha's quest?
Poor kid I really hope they get a happy future. When I started this quest I thought I wouldn't be too interested in it but it got me super interested instead (and worried).

WIP Nepecha
Am playing the Children of Echoes story quest, and Tlacolli, she pisses me off. She messed up a perfectly good child, she did.
"Everything I know is about Nechca... What she liked to eat, which flowers she enjoyed, how she acted and spoke."
"I'm not her, but... But I can only be like her."
Like, what do you mean this child has been brainwashed so thoroughly that she doesn't even remember her own interests anymore?!
i've been thinking about varsha and nepecha lately and how their quests really display how easy it is for children to be abused by authority figures, especially in close communities and how not enough is done to prevent it and how not enough people even care.
nepecha's story has a happy ending, but she's going to be traumatized forever and possible have identity issues for the rest of her life. and NO ONE REALIZED THE SWITCH. isn't that insane? and in general the second we got to natlan i was taken aback by the realization of how fucking easy it would be to mistreat children in the tribes because there are just. no safety nets.
and varsha quite literally says she gets beaten at home and all the traveler does is go "welp, guess we'll take her to a sweet flower field and let her eat those for eternity" as if that's a proper solution. let me go to ghandarva ville and beat the shit out of everyone!
"Paimon doesn't know what she's been through, but it seems like it would be hard to convince her to return." YA THINK???
edit: AND HOW COULD I FORGET RUU. i really don't think i even need to explain this one.
