❣️ - A song my muse would dedicate to their loved ones

Alright, this one took me longer than I like to admit to decide on. I have so much music stored in a Spotify playlist for Nerashi, even some that might be okay to dedicate to her loved ones, but nothing that really fit enough in my mind.

But, after combing through all my songs, I think I’ve finally decided on one which may be a bit tricky to replicate in the FFXIV universe due to it being electronic music, but in some AU where modern music exists, this would definitely be the answer to this question.

The lyrics to this song can be dedicated to all of the important people in Nerashi’s life, from her family and tribe back in Othard, to those she’s lost to war and other struggles throughout her life, and to those she’s developing friendships and love for in the New Azim Coalition.

And it’s a long way forward, so trust in meI’ll give them shelter, like you’ve done for meAnd I know, I’m not alone, you’ll be watching over usUntil you’re gone.

Nerashi was once loved and living among her people, but now it is her giving shelter to other Xaela displaced by the trouble in Othard and otherwise in need of a home. And, while she often sheds a tear for those she’s lost - her mother and father, a number of loved ones - she still carries their memory in her heart.

⁉ Have they ever questioned their sexuality?

”[♪ Questioned my… Sexuality? ♪]” The Xaela blushed and turned her attention away, silent for a while. 

”[♪ To be honest, I do. ♪ I have found myself more fond of males as friends whereas women… ♪]” An amused smile tugged at her mouth. 

“[♪ Back home, my father used to remind me almost daily how much he would love to have grandchildren someday. ♪ He never said anything to prove my feelings wrong, but I feel as though I would hurt his feelings to never birth a child. That and… ♪]” She trails off to silence again, a quiet sorrow coming over her features. “[♪ Well, that’s a story for another day. ♪]”

🍭 - Do they have a sweet tooth?

“[♪ Oh, very much so! ♪ Before she died, my mom would make boortsog, which is basically a fried butter cookie, and it is probably my favorite treat in the entire world. ♪ They’re especially good when you add some honey or jam to them. ♪ I should try to recreate her recipe sometime… ♪]”
