Let's talk "Always Prepared" and Nesryn.

Her family is complicated. She lost her parents due to her dad being out of his mind. She never really learned if it was meant to be extended suicide, she simply assumes it, or if it was simply a moment of mental instability that made her dad cause the accident.

Anyhow, it meant she grew up with her aunt and uncle since she was ten, and in some way her uncle was the strictest but also the softest person. Her aunt and uncle ran a small family run hotel, so everything had to be in order and run by strict rules. Naturally, that meant, her uncle enforced those rules regularly to keep the hotel running.

Some of those of follow me for some time know I am lowkey obsessed with The Apothecary Diaries.

At some point I thought writing something with this kind of relationship dynamic MaoMao and Jinshi have would be fun.

I already did.

Nesryn and Lorkin are in the same idiotic " why are they acting so damn stupid and just don't simply admit their feeling for gods sake" kind of couple.

I love it.

And the funniest part: Nesryn also is smart enough to put 2 and 2 together but chose to ignore her conclusions, not for her own safety but simply because she is a damn stubborn idiot who is branded by her past.

Everyone around them is getting headaches by the sheer presence of them in one room.
