i have to know, do you genuinely ship beans x ging / beans x netero. like how much is it a joke and how much is it real .
So I guess it depends on how we define what a "ship" is.
If it's the definition of "I want to see them in a loving relationship where they get married settle down have 2.5 kids and a house with a white picket fence and grow old together" then no, I don't ship them.
I do however think it's incredibly funny to imagine that Beans has an unrequited crush on Ging, especially given their dynamic as seen in the manga where Ging obviously trusts Beans enough to get him to rig the election rules, *and* he was the first person he told that he was leaving during election arc (as seen in the convo he has with Cheadle). So I think they're definitely close, and Ging trusts him, and Beans extends that trust. There are a lot of fun edits made for them including the Gingbeans AMV (watch if you haven't).
But at the end of the day.... what is shipping if not a joke/fun? Like we're sitting here mashing 2+ characters together like little dolls, it's all a bit silly, isn't it? Like, idk, for me, I'm never *that* invested in a ship where I'm ride or die for it, it's all just always fun and games for me. I like coming up with scenarios for the characters. I write tons of humor/crack fics. So what's to say a fic I worked on for gingbeans is no more genuinely a ship for me to write in comparison to something I wrote for killugon?
Ig to answer your question, it's not something I ever want to be endgame, but I do consider them ships of mine because I consider anything that has even the slightest romantic/sexual/pining undertone to it to be a ship. Is it something I'm super invested in? Not really.
