Make App Content more accessible from Google
For the current or broader mobile strategy, there are many reasons for the developer to built or not built a mobile application. While apps offer a rich user experience, users can’t access them the same like they do in websites. On 31st Oct 2013, Android announced its new Google search capability and app indexing that will make apps more accessible through Google on Android.
For instance, an user search for a movie. Google with its app indexing will deploy links to apps in Android search results. When the user taps on the “Open in App” deep links, the app opens up directly to the movie sought for.
The end result is that users will have a seamless search experience, while accessing an app content through Google.
