So regular Gambit is from Earth-616, the Gambit in Exiles is from Earth-6706. In this version he is the first son of Storm and some dude Namor. I haven't read the actual comic, but from what I've seen of it on tumblr I dont think they're the same person.
I love that you guys are helping me process this. xD My poor brain can't handle it. But if he's from Earth-6706 then I can live with it.
