Big news, some changes
Hello my sweethearts! I’ve got some news for you!! (Gonna be a long text, you’ve been warned.)
Today is a very big an important day for me, a day when I can say I finally achieved something. I’ve been creating for almost 2 years - as you know in my freetime, for absolutely free - just for you! I still consider making CC as my hobby, something I like and enjoy doing, but 2 weeks ago, I got a letter from the TSR stuff, a letter that included an invitation for me to become a Featured Artist on The Sims Resource. I’m gonna be honest, I was secretly hoping for this day to come. Sometime. It was one of my goals to become an FA. Not for the money, nor for the fame. For myself. So I can finally say I’m good at something. So it was always a motivation to keep creating and be better by every new CC. I consider myself ambitious and this distant aim made me work harder and learn more.
So of course when I got the letter I became way too excited. (I remember sitting on my Dutch class, and from that point on, I haven’t paid any attention to the class and been scolded a few times for that.) In no time, I replied with a big ‘YES’, saying that I gladly accept the offer.
When the class ended, only then I realized, I might have decided too fast?! I felt that I betrayed my followers. I mean, I can’t be thankful to anyone, but to my followers, who supported me from the beginning. I mean, yes, I got lots of downloads on TSR, too, but I got encouraging words and sweet messages on Tumblr, which meant, and still mean much more to me than the silly numbers.
So I talked to my friends about the issue. They understood my concern but tried to show me the other side of it. They were proud of me because they knew it was my dream and knew I worked so hard for this. They made me understand that I’m not selfish for accepting this offer. I think now, that they are right.
As you know, since I’ve been creating, all my CC are free - no ad*ly, no patreon - I got no money for CC at all. And I want you to know, that even from now on, my CC will be still free for you! You don’t need to give me a penny for downloading any of my CC. The only change is, that from now on, you can only download my CC via The Sims Resource. (I will still post Tumblr exclusive CC though.)
So all in all, I’m happy and excited and can’t wait to continue my journey as a Featured Artist, which title I will proudly wear. All I wish is that I can keep my amazing followers and can count on their support, even after this decision!
