Yesterday when driving back from Southern California, I made a quick detour to the town of Newhall so I could take a look at the house I lived in from ages four to eight; it's still so odd to see how relatively small both it and the backyard are, though of course I remember it through the eyes of an eight-year-old. (I saw an old neighbor and after identifying myself, explained that I was much shorter when we last met.) I also went by Peachland Elementary, the school I attended from kindergarten to third grade. which was strangely unaltered despite the ensuing decades. This was playing in my head the whole time. Bless you, Stewart Copeland. ♥
