The Boss
New Ryder has paid me the astounding compliment of writing his own series of stories inspired by my 'Le Reve' series. His tales, called 'The Boss', are written from the male point of view and offer glimpses into a back-story I'd not even imagined. I enjoyed his mix of hard-boiled noir and romance and I know you will to. So, without further ado, here are links to the three installments of 'The Boss' and a teaser.
The Boss I looked at my reflection in the glass, an image superimposed over the lights of the city, the boulevards, the avenues, the offices, apartments and traffic below. The mountains beyond, where the lights were less dense and then faded, that’s where I had come from, where I wanted to return to. I am good at concealing my thoughts, tamping down my fear, putting off feelings and getting down to business. The man in the window, eerily transparent, was me, but not the current me, this was an old me, tired around the eyes, mouth a hard thin line, neck and shoulders bunched and nervy, getting down to business.
