calla sits next to viserys with her head pressed against his shoulder, eyes following the lines of constellations that are speckled across the night sky. they sit together under a large oak tree, shy fingers intertwined together as they relish in one anothers company. the night is particularly quiet, and all calla can hear is the gentle hum of the bugs and viserys’ even breathing. she is at peace in his presence.
pointing to the brightest star in the sky, she traces a couple lines with the tip of her finger, drawing out the constellation for viserys to see.
“ that one looks like us, ” she says, giggling quietly to herself. she’s enjoying the mundane act of star gazing, something she hasn’t done since she was a child. calla never thought it could be so interesting, but perhaps it was always because she’d never done it with someone she enjoyed being with so much. “ that’s you, ” she points to the big star, letting one eye fall shut as she focuses. “ and that ones - ”
her sentence is cut short as viserys moves. the surprise on her face is evident as he turns to face her, and all she can see is 𝐡𝐢𝐦. the stars are replaced by his eyes, and when he leans in and kisses her she almost forgets to close hers. when he pulls away, calla watches him with total adoration. viserys is a shy person by nature, and she knows that making a move as bold as this one is not something that he takes lightly. it makes her adore him all the more.
she leans back into him, brushing her nose against his gently as she gives him a smile. “ you can do that again, ” she whispers.
