I am 100% okay with Alec being a dog person!!!!! A Goldie would fit him perfectly. They're very loyal, very playful and I can imagine Jalec getting into bed and the dog wiggling it's way up to lay right between them and Jace pretending to be annoyed af but inside he's melting everywhere because this dog is THEIRS. I can see the dog having a really simple name too. Like Chuck. Or Kevin.

I'm totally with you on the fact that Lydia is getting too much unwarranted hate. I'm not happy with the fact that mayrse is doing what she's doing, and I really want to see Alec happy, but like you said Lydia has amazing potential and we don't even know who she is?? Like we haven't met her?? For all we know she's as against this as Alec if not more so. Everyone please stop hating her for something that we aren't even sure she supports? Give her a chance for gods sake. Malec will be endgame.

EXACTLY. I love Alec I do, never have I related to a character more. And the Malec relationship helped me realize what bisexuality is. But Alec, Magnus and their relationship will always have their stans and supporters. But Lydia DOES NOT GUYS. Hate on Maryse for arranging this and Lydia’s parents for agreeing to it. But PLEASE DONT HATE sweet Lydia Branwell who we haven’t even seen on screen and know nothing about. Let’s not turn this fandom into spn.

I have two versions of chapter 16 for ‘Like Real People do’ going at the same time and I’m not sure which one is going to be posted yet but here you go: 

Which is why when the younger boy’s phone buzzed and his face immediately lit up, Alec couldn’t hide his interest.

He waited patiently as his brother typed out his reply before speaking.

“Who’s that?” He asked carefully, keeping his face angled toward his book but watching for Max’s reaction out of the corner of his eye.

His brother’s eyes widened for a second and the tips of his ears went pink.

Well that was an interesting response.

“Um- no one?” Max stuttered out.

Alec snorted and looked up to meet his little brother’s eyes. “You don’t sound very convincing.”

Max scratched the back of his neck as he tried to think of something to say- Alec recognized the mannerism as something he did himself.

“It’s just one of my friends from school.” But Max wasn’t really meeting his eyes so Alec wasn’t satisfied.

“A friend or ‘a friend’?” Alec suspected that he had never sounded more like Izzy in his entire life.

“No! It’s not like that.”The younger boy insisted but his cheeks also filled with color.

Alec almost felt bad for his teasing but a) he was Max’s older brother so it was practically his job and b) he had since lost count of how many times he had been teased about his own love life so he was justified in both instances.

“So what’s it like then?”
