M 34 / NGC 1039
En la constelación de Perseo, a unos 1400 AL de casa, podemos observar este bonito cúmulo abierto compuesto por unas 100 estrellas. Tiene un tamaño de unos 7 AL y es posible contemplarlo con prismáticos.
Como veis, el campo en el que se encuentra es espectacular.

Leaving the galaxies behind for a few days, we return to some star clusters. The Spiral Cluster is an open cluster containing a few hundred stars and is one of the older open clusters at about 200-250 million years old. Admiral William Smyth described it as "a scattered but elegant group of stars."
