Julia Santos Solomon (b. 1956- ) is a painter, teacher, fashion designer, and textile designer. She was born in the Dominican Republic, and lived and worked in New York City as well as Woodstock, New York. Josh T Franco, Latino collections specialist, recently acquired her papers. Among the gems, he found the materials related to a series of silk screen prints based on the famous course, "Teeth of the Dog" at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic. She worked with Pete Dye, golf course designer, and Alice Dye, amateur golf champion, to produce the series. These vibrant images suggest her process.
As We Are Golf celebrates #NGD16, we teed up few items from her unprocessed papers.
