kaia didn't really consider herself to be a social person. it wasn't like she was against talking to people or making new friends, but she found it difficult to do so. intense social interactions oftentimes left her feeling burnt out and mentally exhausted. she'd spent so much of her life having to interact with dozens, sometimes even hundreds, or thousands if she had to perform, of people a day that she had developed something akin to an aversion towards anything involving social activities. she would much rather have a small get together with a handful of friends or go out to a nice restaurant. even when she did get the urge to go out clubbing, which was a very rare occurrence, she never stayed out for too long.
which was why she enjoyed her friendship with haoereum so much. he was quiet, but when he did speak, it was always something worthwhile to hear in kaia's opinion. he had a great mind, quick wit and their conversations, no matter how quiet or lowkey, were always enjoyable for her. it had taken a little while for the two of them to build up their bond with one another, but once they had established their friendship, kaia had almost immediately become comfortable with him. comfortable enough to randomly pop up on him at random times when she knew that he would be in the studio.
she knocked once before poking her head inside, smiling when she saw him seated at the soundboard. "hey - you busy?" she asked, already letting herself in and closing the door behind him. she had just finished up a vocal lesson with some idols and was finished for the day, but had decided to stop in and see haoereum before she left for home. "working on something new?"
