Nick Paparone functions within the systems of mass culture and the marketplace in order to satirize and expose their inner-workings. Employing a variety of media from video, installation, and performance, the artist states that his work "is slathered with evolving iterations that anatomize branding idioms and client dynamics."
Paparone's work has been performed and exhibited at X-Iniative, New York; Primetime, New York; W/, New York; Fischer Landau Center for Art, New York; Socrates Sculpture Park, New York; Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia; Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati; Fleisher Ollman Gallery, Philadelphia; Vox Populi Gallery, Philadelphia; and Bodega, Philadelphia.The artist received his MFA from Columbia University. He currently lives and works in New York.
