Even though everywhere I go, including my own room is a constant reminder of the shooting that killed my friend Nick and 16 of my classmates and teachers, I still love my home and my community so much. Parkland is so beautiful and so resilient 🧡
I took this the night of February 14th when police were raiding the shooter’s house. I couldn’t stand to be in my house night of February 14th. Everywhere I looked I got flashbacks of Nick, my friend who was killed in the shooting, so my mom took me for a ride. Once we get onto Lox I see police lights and hear sirens. I begin to get flashbacks of the shooting and realize that the police are raiding n** c***’s House. Almost every single day I drive on Lox. I imagine n** c*** planning the shooting that would kill my friend, my friend’s boyfriend, classmates and teachers. I imagine him the night of February 13th preparing for the shooting while my friend Nick,who was killed during the shooting, was preparing for Valentine’s Day with his girlfriend Daria and my friend Tori was preparing for Valentine’s Day with her boyfriend Joaquin, who was killed during the shooting. I can’t explain the pain I feel from simply looking at that house.
This was the dress I wore to Nick’s funeral. Instead of wearing black we all wore color to symbolize Nick’s effervescence and vivacity.

Synchronicity. I'm not a Bible thumper, but I believe there's a Master Plan larger than we can conceive. I'm clueless, but his random tweet brought many likes, retweets & responses. I couldn't comprehend the impact. It all started because Nick's girlfriends parents were friends with my sister @sylmia6161 & I saw the post about Nick being MIA on her facebook page. Synchronicity.
