Pope, writing prior to the premiere of a new adaptation of HG Wells’ War of the Worlds on Fox next Thursday, warned: If real-life aliens are looking at the Earth with envious eyes and making plans, what are our plans to deal with them? The short answer is that there is not. If it was a real-world War of the Worlds, there is no war plan against alien invasions - we just have to face them. I was lucky enough to get to chat and photo-op with noted British UFO researcher/author/speaker Nick Pope while attending the 29th Ozark Mountain UFO Conference in Eureka Springs last April. Mr. Pope headed up the UK's UFO desk for a number of years and is a wealth of information. A very nice fellow, but for some reason he is despised by my boys! They "boo" him when he pops up in the occasional doc I may be watching! I can only surmise that my conversation with him delayed them getting a toy at the Conference!
