My latest editorial shoot for Disegno is out now in the shops and online: issue number 8 S/S 2015. Shot for a report on food design (written by deputy editor Oli Stratford), my series of abstract still life images examine and play with the discipline's processes and ideas. 

To accompany the new issue I worked on a short film with editor Matt Heeley (some stills from the film are shown here). This has just been published alongside a great interview with “Eating Designer” Marije Vogelzang.

It was an immensely fun and creative shoot and also my second dabble at some motion work. Combining a number of different techniques, I’m interested in exploring how this can be incorporated into certain projects to add a new dimension to my stills work. It’s something I’m developing more in the studio, alongside collaborators, and will release new work in the near future.

A recent commission by Disegno for an event called Textures & Treatments to celebrate the launch of Jo Sampson’s Rebel crystal collection for Waterford. The installation, held at Idem Paris, is designed by Marcin Rusak and Jacopi Sarzi. The location and objects of the printworks together with the event themes of infusion, distilling, colour and texture, inspired these images.
