trans men have male privilege only when they pass as men. if they're still treated like women, they don't yet have male privilege. i'm still treated like a woman because i don't pass, but once i begin my transition and people think of me as a man (rather than a woman dressed like a man) then i will have male privilege. it's important to distinguish between non-passing and passing.

^^ yes this is also true and an important thing to consider. i hope i didn’t come off as saying that trans men who haven’t transitioned/come out/don’t present as male have male privilege because that’s not true.
