From the Nico’s World archives we find a live jam from The Shire, formerly known as Oneshot, live from Memorial Park in Downtown Sudbury circa 2000-2001. This hippyesque arts event was called “Revive” and featured a few different bands and a bunch of artisan stands and tables from local artists.
Alvvays, a band from Canada's East Coast was touring with Fucked Up and I was pleasantly surprised. Here is a song, Next of Kin, from their set at Millard's Garage on September 25 2014.
Well the weather is getting cooler, wetter and the colours on the trees are changing. In the fall you just can't help but pull out your favorite Jawbreaker, Samiam or Weakerthans record and reminisce about good times. In all my years as a punk music lover, the band Knapsack was somehow able to elude me. I fell on this band this weekend and it was love at first sound. If you love Jawbreaker and haven't heard of these guys, or just feel like relaxing to an amazing record, please check out their album Day Three of My Life.
