Headcanon #4

Nigel did not die of natural causes in 1962. He was tracked down to his home in Whitby. His little girl Anna was playing with her doll in the garden and Jeanette was inside cooking dinner. An agent from the KGB approached Nigel and asked him to create a formula for an invisible soldier. Nigel refused as the Cold War with Russia was heating up. He didn’t want to help them.

At his refusal the agent left. A few months later another KGB agent approached Nigel in the middle of the night. He threatened to harm Anna and Jeanette if he didn’t cooperate with them. Once more Nigel refused. On the 13th of September Nigel passed away. The local doctor pronounced it was of natural causes.

This was not true. The Russians had gotten tired of Nigel refusing to help them or respond to their threats. They had laced his tea with a lethal dose of Strychnine. Nigel had begun to act erratic and half an hour after the dose was administered he died through respiratory failure.
