Ace: are you sleeping?
Ace didn't know why he had actually let Nikki go to see him. Of course, if he had been entirely aware of what he was doing, he would have said no - never wanting anyone to see when he got like that, especially not when there was alcohol in his system and his brain didn't connect to his mouth, and he just spilled whatever came to him. Still he had texted Nik and he had gotten her all worried, so he was going to let her go to see him- see for herself that he was fine, even if his definition of fine didn't exactly match hers. He stayed where he was on the bed, knowing that his Aunt would open the door for Nik. He felt even worse for getting drunk when his Aunt was there, or rather coming home drunk, but she understood - although he had seen the look in her eyes, one of sadness and disbelieve and a bit of disappointment. It was nothing new really, that look had been the one he had gotten back home every day. He didn't know how long it took Nikki to get to his house or into his room, but before he knew it the door was opening - and he ran his hands, even the injured one on his face, trying to clear up some of the tears that had unconsciously come. "Hi - hey." Ace said, even in his state - still giving a crooked smile at the sight of Nikki.
