Sometimes...you have a really CRAP day...you question your job, your purpose for being here, your future in the Army. You question trusting your brothers and sisters to your right and left. You are ready to call it, head home, be done. You’ve done your time, it’s time to quit standing up and serving when everyone around you doesn’t get why. And then...a friend makes you a quesadilla and homemade guac while you stand in her kitchen in a towel so all your clothes can wash and dry. And your Soldiers come to you after a briefing full of questions and hungry to learn and grow, and they look to you for that knowledge and leadership. And the sunset shows you what you’ve always known...that at the end of a really dark day, there can be something beautiful to look forward to. So...maybe I’ll give it just one more day, Army. Maybe you’re worth it after all. #day11 #nineyearsin #armycampingtrip #jblmsunset #nofilter (at Fort Lewis, Washington) https://www.instagram.com/p/By9VKrpgBOZ/?igshid=6p8wc7kusnlb
