He peers from under his bangs at her: nervous, flighty, fingers absently twiddling away at the high collar of his shirt. He’s usually fairly quiet, when he’s not around his own group of friends (well, provided he isn’t seeking to impress whoever’s in the room), a soft-spoken people-pleaser despite directly going against his parents in fields of study. Aozaki is, and he understands it, above and outside the circle -- but that’s no reason not to grab her by the wrists and pull her back into it, from time to time.

And so, without pause, with little fear, and with only the faintest tinge of a deep warm bronze blushtone at his ears -- he pushes forward, eyes that glitter the dangerous color of the transparent ocean sparkling.

“They mean longing, or adoration -- they can be mourning flowers, but it’s not as common, and they’re mostly used for the former two attributions. They’re also just...very cute, in all truth.”
