Great. Here, of all places. He could’ve gone anywhere in time, in any dimension, and yet, he was here. He’d much rather be back at his timetwister- even back at Cortex’s space station. Anywhere, just not here. When he was in the mood for this, sure, he’d be just fine being here. But racing was the last thing on his mind.
But then again, he truly was one of the finest racers in the galaxy, wasn’t he? One of the fastest, one of he most difficult for anybody to beat. And that was without him even having to manipulate time to be faster. If he could just get into the right mood, he’d probably be mostly fine- he mostly just didn’t feel like dealing with all of these aliens.
Unless it meant beating them after listening to their smug selves go on and on about how great they are. That was always fun, seeing their positively crushed looks when they get defeated. Ending up getting complimented- either by force or by Velo himself.
Yes, he’d felt that he was high up on that list of racers Velo had. While he didn’t feel that Velo was above him at all as a person- well, alien- Tropy actually did consider him as an equal. Definitely more of an equal than Cortex. But that was just because he never truly felt too threatened by the alien.
N. Tropy didn’t pay much attention to any of the others around the stadium, wrapping his right arm around his tuning fork staff and looking down at the back of his robotic hand. He felt like there was somebody looking at him, but all he did was turn his robotic hand around and bend his fingers in towards his palm, almost as if he was looking at his nails- which, of course, his robotic hand didn’t even have. It was just a petty gesture, to make it clear that he’d rather not even look back at whoever it was.
“I have so many better things I could be doing right now. And yet, here I am...how unfortunate.”
It was more like he was talking to himself than to anybody else. He’d considered going on and making it more insulting to whoever was looking at him, but since he hadn’t even bothered to see who it was, he figured it’d be safer not to. He was already being insulting enough just by apparently ignoring them.
